"Binnie, how ya doing this morning?"
"Me? Oh, I'm doing just great! I'm feeling validated, acknowledged, honored."
"How come?"
Because the Hagel and Bruning campaigns just got a complete manual from the National Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee on how to deal with me 'n' my blogging friends.
Here's an outtake:
The non-friendly blogs, i.e. "hostile, liberal blogs," should never be engaged directly by campaigns. "Doing so only legitimizes them," the guide states. Leave that up to surrogates. Instead, monitor the critical sites for inaccuracies that can be "useful down the road to delegitimize these blogs as a source for reliable information to the mainstream media."
Little did they know how phenomenally easy this will be to do in our great state.

Does this mean I should change my "Name" to Growly Old Surrogate Bastard With Republican Leanings That Is By No Way Affilated With Any Candidate or Campaign?" Is there going to be a Surrogate Validation Center where we can obtain credentials? Will I receive a "Z-Surrogate Credential" if the background check in not completed in 24 hours? This is serious business. In the old days we had a different name for surrogates.
So much to do and so little time.

Gee, Fiddler - you sure have my goose cooked. But, feel free to try and "delegitimize" me all you want. Go ahead and play games like a good little partisan hack since you can't engage in any real idea-driven discussion about the future of our state because the shallowness of your purpose and the ineptitude of those you serve would so quickly be revealed.

P.S. If surrogates have to register with the FEC does that mean they are Fec'ing Surrogates?

Why are Liberals so angry all the time? Maybe they can be called Angry Screaming Surrogates...or maybe they can just come up with a catchy acronym.

You have yet to do a real solid blog entry. It's all links to crap others wrote. So while others focus on the politicians themselves, people like you will be little scurrying bottom feeders using dirty tactics and underhanded lie-campaigns, all fed by those trying to gain power through deception. Don't you just feel special and loved?
Originality. You should try it sometime.

What is up with your commenters? Anyway, I was wondering about this:
Instead, monitor the critical sites for inaccuracies that can be "useful down the road to delegitimize these blogs as a source for reliable information to the mainstream media."
Can we do that with the MSM? Haven't they delegitimized themselves, thus creating the need/demand for blogs?
